This is engineering nutrition. I am passionate about getting the answers, sharing receipts and building a community page that supports this effort. Maybe a meme or two…Essentially it is not anyone’s fault as there is so much garbage info and psychology of sales but it is your responsibility.

Can the pancreas do it all?

Thankfully we have used are minds and skills to make hunting and gathering more convenient and now it’s a trip to the grocery store.
We live longer, yet we are a medicated society. There’s always a pill to solve the problem. Don’t get me wrong when something needs treated get it treated. My purpose is to highlight the benefits of working with your body and making smart food choices.
And there is so much out there to try to work with psychological eating and not nutritional eating. There are major corporations, government, lobbyists, and diet programs assisting in this process of making this available and feeding the mind this is what it needs.
It is my understanding there is the equivalent of two Oreos in everything we eat. If the ingredients list is filled with natural flavors and a bunch of words many ending in “ose”, this is how they get around it. Eating healthy is not convenient and many diet plans tailor it around this.
How does this affect the pancreas (and many others things that keep our body growing)?
The pancreas produces insulin and glucagon. It is located behind the stomach near the spine.
Can it do both at the same time?
Our bodies where built to hunt and gather while weathering the seasons, yet now all we are feeding it is sugar.
When America experienced an increase in obesity, they increased the weight for what was considered obese. Nothing was done in the root cause of food.
When the level of cow pus in milk was surpassing the limits, the industry and regulators changed the standard of permitted pus levels in milk.
It is my understanding that the pancreas is producing insulin when blood sugar is high and producing glucagon when blood sugars are low. Our body is meant to work together. What other processes are being impacted by unreceived glucagon.
If our food is already high in sugar, when do we get the glucagon.
It is my understanding when the pancreas is unable to produce enough insulin diabetes results.
Start at the root and kick the sugar. Have fruit occasionally or when it is in season not just because it is at the store.
It’s only in season during the fall.

Add garlic easy use the press

A garlic press is a great investment. Get the garlic press and add garlic to your oil to complement your veggies and easier than mincing for your meals.
Garlic has many trace nutrients and what you do consistently adds up. The garlic press makes it easy to add to your meals. A good way to eat veggies consistently is to pair it with something and many times everyone chooses veggie dip which is packed full of ingredients that sabotage your health.
Remember eating is nutritional and not psychological of how you feel. I understand taste is important so pair it with your voice of oil: avocado, coconut, olive, etc. you can adjust the amount of garlic you put in it to taste.
Still digging your heals in and with a Hmong saying you don’t like it. Garlic is used in many dishes that you may not even know it’s there.
Consider it or just add the oil. Please skip the veggie dip.

Add lemon

Recently I added 1 freshly squeezed lemon to my homemade mayo. This also serves as the base for my ranch dressing (husband approved 😋 ). It’s delicious and adds that something extra you can’t get enough of…
Ingredients
1 cup avocado oil
3 tsp (or tbsp) of apple cider vinegar
1 pasture raised egg
Salt
1 freshly squeezed lemon

VENISON…it’s good 😋

Yes, it is deer and yes, it is good.
It is more lean than beef so you don’t have to look at the portions (93% lean 7% fat, 80% lean 20% fat, etc.)
Packed with protein
Add artichokes and green beans ( or your choice of vegetables)
Easy, healthy, no sugar meal and it is filling (eating for nutrition not for psychology)
Bon Appetit
